For most of this winter, our family has managed to avoid major sickness (unlike last winter with Levi's continuous ear infections). Then Tuesday night hit...
Matt put Levi to bed at normal time and a half hour later, Levi was crying in his bed. Levi has been honing his stalling skills lately, so this wasn't totally unexpected. What Matt found when he went upstairs, however, was quite the sight -- Levi was standing in his crib buck-naked! He said to Matt "bi-per off" and then repeated (in case Matt couldn't see) "I took a bi-per off". Matt reapplied the diaper, put Levi back to bed, and we had a little chuckle about Levi's actions.
Fast forward to screaming from Levi's room at 12:30 AM. I went in to check on Levi and found myself walking in a mess of vomit. Now I'm the one screaming for Matt to come and help me! After much clean-up (sheets, clothes, Levi - not in that order), we all head back to bed. Then 45 minutes later, the screaming starts again and we replay the whole scene again - only this time Levi throws-up twice before heading back to bed. After two false alarm screams at 3:30 and 6:30, we finally started our day at 9 AM with a buck-naked Levi in his crib and one more throw-up on Mommy for good measure!
The rest of Wednesday and Thursday went by without much incident (other than messy Levi diapers) and we thought we were home free...until I woke up around 4 AM on Friday morning. As Matt can attest, I love my sleep, so for me to wake up at that time of the morning must mean something is wrong! I grabbed a bowl from the kitchen to keep by the bed and it came in handy around 6 AM (and 8:30 and noon). Yes, the stomach flu struck me too! Matt had headed to work at 6:30 (I thought I was feeling better), but after Levi woke up with a blown-out diaper all over himself and his crib, Matt hurried back home to take care of Levi for the day. Thanks, Honey!
After spending most of Friday in bed, getting a good night of sleep, and taking a shower, I am feeling much better today. Matt slept in the basement last night in hopes of avoiding the flu germs I spread in our bed (the only time during our marriage that we have slept apart when we've both been home). I hope for all of our sakes that he remains healthy!

Sorry you guys are so sick...but is it true, it's not so bad cleaning up after your own child? I don't handle that stuff too well so I'm a little, make that a lot, nervous!! :)
