It's a little ironic, don't you think...

I'm watching "The Biggest Loser" tonight and I have a huge case of the munchies!

Wouldn't you think that watching people try to lose weight would make you not want to eat?

Oh, no - not me...the brownies are in the oven and should be ready in about 15 minutes!

Blog-versary

One year ago today I wrote my first post on this blog!

It's hard to believe that a year has flown by - but then I look at the pictures from Levi's 1st birthday and think "who is that baby?" I know that I haven't done the best job at posting "daily" adventures this past year, but it's still fun to look back and remember all the things we did and all the fun we had doing them. Above all, we remember and give thanks for the many blessings God has given us in the past year!

I hope that you who are reading this blog have enjoyed reading about our adventures. Stay tuned...more adventures to come!

Henry & The Babies

I added a new song to Levi's bedtime repertoire tonight - "He's got the whole world in His hands". It was an instant hit - after each verse Levi responded with "more"! I used some of the classic verses as well as some of my own creation: little tiny baby, sun and the moon, mommies and the daddies, grandmas and the grandpas, Henry and Levi, snow and the wind and so on...

After umpteen verses, I tried to move on to another song, but Levi wanted nothing to do with my song suggestions. His mind was made up and he kept telling me what he wanted to hear: Henry and the babies. So, yet another verse was invented by Levi - "He's got the Henry and the babies in His hands." Makes me wonder if he knows something that Angie's ultrasound didn't detect today...??

How old do I feel?

This weekend I went to an antiques market downtown with my mom and sister. The two of them are much more into antiquing, but they take me along for the ride sometimes. We found some really cool mirrors framed in tin, but they were a bit out of my price range. One booth had boxes of old photographs and we had a few laughs while browsing through them.

My one purchase for the day was this Chrismas songbook:

The reason I bought this songbook was because it was the one my mom had when I was growing up. I'm not sure what the exact definition of "antique" is, but since I'm only 30 years old, I'm thinking it's a relative term!

Cookie Monster

Levi didn't want to take a nap this afternoon, so he helped me make cookies instead! He kept pretending to add more oatmeal to the mixing bowl with his measuring cup saying "here ya go, Mommy". He also insisted on tasting our cookies as soon as they were out of the oven and told me "I wike it, Mommy!"

A Levi First

This morning, Levi let me sleep in a little longer than normal. I couldn't believe it when I rolled over to 8:45 AM on my clock. I also couldn't believe what I saw when I walked into Levi's room...Levi was only wearing his diaper!

Between laughing and quickly changing his huge diaper, I didn't get a picture - but the image of "no PJ's Levi" is secure in my mind!
